Follow these steps to complete your order:

1. Read about our shipping policies. This lists the allowable shipping methods for your destination and explains how we calculate the charges.  We normally ship Media Mail, but upon your request we will do Priority shipping or some Courier shipping. We process orders in the sequence they are received — we won’t increase the priority of any individual order.

2. Please consider adding a donation. As a nonprofit organization, we are always happy to receive added contributions because they help us maintain our work around the globe.

3. Determine your shipping charges. You must do this prior to final checkout for proper completion of your order. Items in your shopping cart automatically include shipping via US Domestic Standard Mail to addresses in the continental USA. For other shipping methods or destinations, use one of the following links to add the extra shipping charges:

• US Priority Mail for destinations in the continental USA (optional)
• US Priority Mail for destinations in Hawaii or Puerto Rico (required)
• International Air Mail for all other destinations (required)

If your order does not include appropriate shipping charges, we will calculate them, notify you of the additional charges, and wait for your approval before shipping the order.

4. Proceed to final cart checkout using one of these methods:

• Submit your order online using secure E-mail and credit card
• Print your order form for postal mail with any payment method

Since you have already added your shipping charges to the online cart in step 3 above, you should select “Free Shipping” when the cart asks you to select a shipping method.

— Shipping Policies —

In general, we will combine books and small items (booklets, CDs, DVDs) in the same package. However, lithographs and posters are shipped in tubes as a separate package, so they may not be delivered at the same time as other items in your order.

We attempt to ship all orders within ten business days. The Academy uses the following standard methods for its shipments:

• US Domestic Standard (Book Rate). The charge for this method is automatically added to the items in your shopping cart. If you are satisfied with this shipping method, you do not need to add any other charge.
• Priority Mail. This is optional for the continental USA, but required for Hawaii and Puerto Rico to ensure reliable delivery. The additional charge for Priority Mail must be added from the tables below.
• International Air Mail (Printed matter: AO or M-Bag). The additional charge for foreign shipments must be added from the tables below.

Please allow:

• up to 3 weeks for delivery of orders within the USA
• up to 6 weeks for delivery by air mail to foreign countries

You may choose other methods such as US Domestic First Class mail, International Surface Mail, or UPS. However, you must contact us with a list of items so we can notify you of the custom shipping charges.

— Priority Mail Shipments —

Our standard shipping charge, which is automatically added to each item in your shopping cart, covers delivery to destinations in the continental USA.

• For addresses in the continental USA (including Alaska), you can upgrade to Priority Mail. This is optional.
• For addresses in Hawaii or Puerto Rico, Priority Mail shipment is required to ensure reliable delivery.

To ship your order via Priority Mail, add the appropriate extra charge(s) to your shopping cart:

1. For each table below (books, small items, lithographs), use the number of those items in your shopping cart to find the extra charge.
2. After you enter the amount in the box below the table, click the button to add it to your shopping cart.

Notes:

• Depending on the mix of items you order, you may have to add an extra charge from one, two, or all three tables. But you don’t have to calculate the total extra charge — the shopping cart will do that for you.
• If you don’t have any of the items in a table (for example, no lithographs), just skip that table. You don’t need to enter a zero.
• If you have more items than are listed in a table (for example, 6 books), just skip that table. We will contact you with the shipping options and charge.
